At the time I made my decision to have my lap
band surgery my life was somewhat sedentary,
which it never was before. I felt like life was
walking past me, and now things are entirely
different. I don't have that yoyo dieting
anymore. I can do everything now. We have

always travelled extensively, but
when I was heavier, on several
occasions, I sat behind and let my
family go without me. I didn't like
it, and that's what motivated me
the most.

I had considerable medical
