I started out at 238 lbs. Now I’m 125 and
I’ve lost 113 lbs. Life before the surgery
was depressing. I stayed home, sat on the
couch and had no patience for the children.
I was wiped out by the end of the day.

Going to the amusement park
was difficult because there
were certain weight
restrictions. I couldn’t go on
the river float with the kids
because I was over 220 lbs.

It was awful. I work at Norwalk Hospital and I’ve seen the surgeries that they’ve done. I said enough was enough after so many years of fighting it.

Life is wonderful now. Absolutely wonderful! I was a 22 and now I’m a 2. I’m at the gym six days a week and I did a mini triathalon. My kids love it because I can do everything with them. I play ping-pong with them. I get out there and I ride bikes with them. Rock wall climbing; we do it all.

I do look great now. I have lots of energy and lots of patience too.
