Dr. Floch will discuss the newest bariatric procedures and our all inclusive individualized and comprehensive program for them. He is one of the country’s eminent Bariatric most Surgeons and is the first fellowship trained advanced Laparoscopic Surgeon in Fairfield County. Dr. Floch’s practice, Fairfield County Bariatrics, was one of seven practices in the country that participated in the study that led to the FDA Panel’s recommendation to lower the BMI to 30 for lap-band surgery. Dr. Floch personally designed and instituted the first two advanced minimally invasive operating rooms in Fairfield County. In addition to performing surgery, he used his skills to train many surgeons in the techniques of advanced laparoscopic surgery. Dr. Floch has performed over 800 bariatric procedures. His academic accomplishments include twenty-one original journal publications and five book chapters. Dr. Floch is featured in the Consumer’s Guide to Top Doctors as one of the 2009 Best Physicians as chosen by their peers. He is the surgeon of choice among many doctors and nurses who seek bariatric surgery for themselves.
