Marina's Story

At 43 yrs old and 100+ pounds overweight, high blood pressure and a history of diabetes in my family, I knew I had to get this weight off but couldn't do it myself. The numbers were just too overwhelming. Discovering Fairfield County Bariatrics through a friend changed my life and gave me hope that this would be the tool I needed to be successful.

After 20 years on Blood Pressure meds - I no longer need them! I can now play and chase my boys around without losing my breath. My children see their mom (and dad) taking better care of themselves so the whole family has benefited from my surgery. I've gone from a no-energy, sedentary couch potato to kickboxing 3 days a week!!

Now I'm always on the go and feel like I can do anything. The support I received (and continue to receive) from Dr. Ehrlich, his staff, support group, my family and close friends, is immeasurable to me. I feel so blessed and thankful for this second chance!
