Fairfield County Bariatrics & Surgical Specialists PC (hereinafter referred to as FCB) is committed to earning your trust and confidence. To better protect privacy, we provide this notice explaining our information collection practices.

FCB strongly believes in a consumer's right to privacy. FCB does not engage in the distribution, sale or use of personally identifiable information about Web Users, such as email address, name, phone number and street address.

FCB also complies with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPPAA) of 1996.

Technology

FCB uses a feature of Internet browsers called "pixels", also known as clear gif technology, or action tags. Pixels are tiny colorless image files placed in a web page, which are served by FCB and counted when served. Pixels are used to track the completion of transactions and submittal of applications.

There are many misconceptions about pixels, some of which we will try to clarify. Pixels do not tell us an e-mail address or any other personally identifiable information. They merely allow FCB to track the effectiveness of campaigns through the pixel's tracking capabilities. FCB does not and cannot use pixels to retrieve personal information from your computer.

Information Collection and Use:

As part of our on-going efforts to ensure the best possible experience for all recipients of FCB advertising, we use pixels to collect data from browsers to aggregate statistical information. This includes IP addresses, browser types, operating systems, domain names, access times and referring website addresses. This information is used for the operation of the service, to maintain quality of the service, and to provide general statistics regarding use of FCB.

Any personal information gathered is information you voluntarily provided to FCB. FCB may collect or receive information about individuals who are members of suppression lists of third parties, which may include, but is not limited to, first and last name, email address, street address, gender and interests. We also collect information on the pages users access or visit, and other information volunteered by users, such as survey information. Log file information is tied to personally identifiable information to prevent fraud and to customize the site.

Advertisements delivered by FCB may let you gain access to other sites. The linked sites are not under the control of FCB. FCB does not assume any responsibility or liability for the actions, products, services and content of linked sites. Visitors should consult the other sites' privacy notices as we have no control over information that is submitted to, or collected by, these third parties.

Security:

We use industry-standard technologies when transferring and receiving consumer data exchanged between us and other companies to help ensure its security. This site has security measures in place to protect the loss, misuse and alteration of the information under our control. Our servers are backed up regularly and protected by security systems.
