Determining Your Insurance Benefits

When preparing for your surgery it is important to determine if your specific health insurance plan covers Weight Loss Surgery. Beware that every plan is different and the benefits are constantly changing. You are entitled to know what your benefits are. However, it is often not an easy question to get answered. Start by calling the number on your card. The questions are simple "Do I have the benefit required for weight loss surgery? If so, can I get a copy of the guidelines?” If speaking to customer service isn't productive, then call your human resource department. Everyone is entitled to know, and should know, what is and is not covered by their health Insurance. This topic is also discussed at our free seminar. If it is determined that you do not have the insurance coverage, please don't be discouraged. This is all too common. Our office can provide you with a package, designed for the self pay patient that will fit into your budget.
